Renowned French actor and writer, Lorànt Deutsch oscillates between comedy, theatre and historical movies.
Since he became a leading figure in French cinema, Lorànt Deutsch embodied Jean-Paul Sartre and Nicolas Fouquet on TV as well as Mozart and Oscar Wilde for the theatre and even Jean de la Fontaine for the cinema. After several supporting roles, it became clear comedy genre got his preference.
Later, he also dubbed in animations like “Chicken Little”, “Asterix and the Vikings” and “The Smurfs”. After 5 years of researching and scripting, Lorànt Deutsch published “Métronome”, his first book about French History.
It has been a tremendous success with more than 2 million copies sold and an adaptation for French television. In 2013, he published “Hexagone”, a 2,600 years’ trip in France’s history, which was also a huge success with 300,000 copies sold and a scheduled adaptation for French television as well.
