Daniel Bevilacqua, better known by the stage name Christophe, is a French singer and songwriter. He was born on 13 October 1945 in the Paris suburb of Juvisy-sur-Orge, to an Italian father.
2013, This is the first time Christophe has performed in Vietnam. Local people may be familiar with his hits including Aline, Les Marionnettes or Les Mots Bleus since the 1960s. After about 50 years in the music industry, he is still a favorite singer of French people
Christophe performs for free to help the organizer of the event raise funds for Vietnam’s street children through Poussieres de Vie. The artist performs around 20 songs while local artists Elvis Phuong, My Linh and Dong Lan will contribute other popular French songs. A highlight of the event will be a duet involving Christophe and one of the local singers.
The event is hosted by the HCMC-based NGO Poussieres de Vie with the support of the French consulate general in HCMC and Ngoc Suong Group to raise funds for needy children in Vietnam and also mark the 40th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and France.
